Religion Today festival screening ‘I Won’t Remain Alone’

Iranian doc ‘I Won’t Remain Alone’ is competing at the Religion Today Film Festival in Italy.

Iranian acclaimed documentary ‘I Won’t Remain Alone’ has been participating in the Religion Today Film Festival in Italy.

Made by Yasser Talebi in five years, the documentary is participating in the 24th edition of the Italian event.

The film follows the story of Sorayya and Seyyed-Jalal, an underprivileged old couple who live in a distant village in the north of Iran.

‘I Won’t Remain Alone’ paints pictures of forgiveness, love, humanity and immortality.

Also taking part in the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival in the US, the documentary was shown at the Regina International Film Festival & Awards in Canada, the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia in Japan and the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in Greece.

‘I Won’t Remain Alone’ won the best documentary on survival of indigenous peoples at the Parnu International Documentary Film Festival in Estonia.

The 24th edition of the Religion Today Film Festival has been slated for September 22-29, 2021.

This edition of the festival has chosen Iranian filmmaker Elaheh Nobakht as a jury member.
